Ideas Make Manifestos

MED 006 | Misc. FAÇ 51 Flyers
A random pile of flyers from The Haçienda about to go into the “My Empire of Dirt” archive.
That flyer for The Fall 👀…
“They are always different; they are always the same.”
—is how John Peel would describe The Fall, and I think these are the attributes a brand should strive for.
This corporate thinking probably misuses The Fall’s ethos, but I’m just being honest about where my work inspiration comes from.
I originally wrote a load of flannel about why and how John Peel’s quote relates to being a brand but then deleted it because you’re all intelligent LinkedIn people like, yeah, yeah, “I get it.” But if you would like me to elaborate, message me, and I’ll do so and of course, if you want to hire me for this approach or to collaborate, hi. (many have).
I’m not sure many see strategy through the “lens” (as people like to write) of sub/popular culture or take their cues from bands, but for me, it’s a guiding principle that’s never failed.
I wonder if Mark E. Smith was chuffed to be described this way. Probably not, the cantankerous s*d.

By the way, I have about twenty of these flyers for The Fall, and they're all mint condition (why the hell have I got twenty?!!). I don't need them all, so if anyone wants one, let me know.
